Government tools and incentives, with The Real Estate Council

A panel for The Real Estate Council's Associate Leadership Council on the public tools that make Dallas projects work, and why the next council election matters.

The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council, Governance Day, at the AT&T Discovery District in Dallas. I was on the “Government Tools and Incentives” panel with Linda McMahon, CEO of the Dallas Economic Development Corporation, and Carl Anderson of Larkspur Capital. Jamee Jolly of TREC moderated.

What I took away:

  • The next City Council election is important.
  • The development that is happening in Dallas today is using one or more economic development tools.
  • Businesses from all over the globe continue to evaluate Dallas as a place to move a headquarters or open a new office.
